The Vashulinga Sugar & General Industries Limited (VSGIL), Vijay Nagar, Lamki Chuha-10, Kailali, Nepal is a diversified business house in Nepal established in 1994, having installed capacity of 2500 TCD sugarcane crushing per day. Even after successful run of 10 crushing seasons, the company intends to re-start the closed sugar plant with upgrading capacity to 3500 TCD, 600 TPD sugar refinery and 25 MW co-generation power.
The industry is being promoted under the banner of a public limited company. The company was registered with the Registrar of Companies on 19th April, 1994 as a limited company with a provision to offer certain percent of shares to the general public.
The objective of the industry is to produce sulphurless refined sugar and its byproducts. During the production process the plant can generate power from bagasse that can be used by the plant itself, and excess power can be sold to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Molasses can be used for distillery products such as RS, ENA and ethanol fuel, and bio-compost fertilizer, flyash bricks, particle board and paper can also be produced and commercialized.
